The parents of a Tulsa teenager murdered in May are raising money to find her killer.

Kayla Ferrante was killed outside her east Tulsa home on May 26th, just a day after the 17-year old graduated from high school.

Police say a bullet from a high powered rifle went through the license plate of the car she was in and struck her in the back.

If you would like to make a donation to the reward to find the shooter you can mail donations to 2121 S. Columbia, LL8 Tulsa, OK 74114.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.

The money is offered as a reward to find the shooter.

The fact that a reward has to be offered for information leading to an arrest means that you have an ineffective and inadequte police force in Tulsa. When you have more shootings, crimes and robberies daily that far exceed the number of arrests, something is seriously wrong with your law enforcement. This poor family, God Love them, has to seek reward money to offer for information that leads to an arrest, just to get closure, that is so very sad. Perhaps they are understaffed or under-trained or just plane out numbered or poorly supervised. Whatever the problem is, for the sake of the citizens, it ought to be fixed.
