A Tulsa woman accused of posting an ad online to lure men to a 15-year-old girl faces charges of human trafficking.

In an undercover operation, officer with the Tulsa Police Vice Unit and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs arrested Alyssa White, 25, for human trafficking involving a 15-year-old girl and soliciting prostitution.

"These are all ads for prostitutes," said Vice Sgt. Todd Evans.
Escort ads posted on Backpage.com show women listing their ages as mid-20s to as young as 18.

"Some days, there will be up to 40 ads on Backpage from Tulsa," said Evans.

He heads the undercover stings targeting online prostitutes and said the women are getting younger.

"This last December, we started seeing girls 14 and 15 popping up on Backpage," said Evans.

Wednesday night, records show in a sting with Tulsa police and OBN they met a girl who posted an ad on Backpage.com in a home near 3200 block of South 127th East Avenue.

The arrest report stated the girl told the undercover agent she would have sex for $100. Police learned the girl was 15.

"A girl that is 14 or 15 isn't really old enough to do all of the things that you need to do to post the ads, make appointments and go to the appointments. They need help from adults in those areas," said Evans.

The report states the girl told officers she was using the ad of Alyssa White, who also lives in the home where the sting happened.

During the sting with the teenage girl, police said White was answering an ad and meeting a man at America’s Best Value Inn near 31st Street and Memorial. That man was also an undercover agent.

"We didn't know anything about it. We don't condone anything like that,” said Mario Harris.

He works the front desk at the hotel and unlocked the door to allow our cameras inside the hotel room.

"We don't want that here," said Harris.

Police are investigating this to see if there is a ring, what role White played and if there is a pimp.

"When adults want to help children get in the life of prostitution, those are the adults we want to hold accountable," said Evans.

Human trafficking can be considered a federal crime and, if convicted, a person can serve at least 10 years up to life in federal prison.

Jail records show White is being held on more than $100,000 bond.
