The medical examiner's office has identified the body found in the Arkansas River Monday as Randal Swain.
Three bow fisherman discovered Swain's body in the middle of the Arkansas river on Monday afternoon.
Tulsa Police tells FOX23, the body was found on a sandbar, around 40 feet under the 71st Street Bridge just before 5 p.m.
FOX23's Frank Wiley was on the scene, he said TPD and TFD had trouble getting to the body, but it was obvious the man was dead. In order to gain access the 71st street bridge was temporary shut down.
According to Officer David Turner, later a helicopter flew in police and the medical examiner to remove the body with the help of firefighters.
