Man robs Walgreens, crashes his vehicle

Tulsa Police officers arrest a man for robbing a Tulsa Walgreens and crashing his vehicle as he left the scene.

Officers say Roy Alexander, 48, stole more than $200 from the register at the Walgreens in the 8100 block of S. Yale Ave.

After fleeing the store, a witness followed Alexander to the area of 8600 block of S. Yale Ave. It was there that Alexander's vehicle departed the road and struck a tree.

According to the police report, three witnesses were able to identify Alexander. Also, Alexander was caught on surveillance cameras.

Officers said Alexander was driving too fast at the time of his accident.

Alexander was arrested for robbery by force/fear in the first degree and speeding less than reasonable and proper. He was transported to Tulsa County Jail and his bond was set at $50,100.
