A Tulsa man accused of shooting a man trying to stop a burglary pleaded guilty in court on Wednesday.

Joseph Edward Nevels pled guilty to second degree murder. Nevels shot and killed Mark Miller in November of 2010. Miller had gone to a neighbor’s house to check on a burglar alarm. Police say Nevels wrestled Miller's gun from him and shot him.

A judge sentenced Nevels to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
