Tulsa police are looking for a man who has been lurking in and around various stores, making women feel very uncomfortable. In some cases he is violating them.
The sexual crimes are happening in the Southroads Shopping Center at 41st & Yale.
Sex Crimes detectives believe he may have done the same thing to a woman at Whiteside Park on 41st between Yale and Harvard.
A guy who looks like the man in the sketch is creeping around Southroads Shopping Center.
One woman told police he followed her in the parking lot and blatantly groped her.
Shoppers in the area are freaked out.
"If that happened to me I would run back in the store and call police,” said Yasmin Knight.
Employees who work at nearby stores do not like hearing about the shady shopper.
"That’s pretty disgusting to think that someone would want to do that to people," said Michael Provenzano.
In some cases the fondler makes it feel like an accident so women are not sure what happened.
"This person would actually bump up and touch people in their private areas,” Corporal Eric Leverington.
Sex Crimes detectives say groping is a sex crime that could escalate into a more dangerous crime.
"Anytime someone touches you or bumps into the back of you or touches any of your private areas that is considered sexual battery,” said Leverington.
The groper is described as mixed race or Hispanic, wearing a cap and sometimes he is wearing glasses.
Ms. Knight says she is always carrying protection.
“That's why my grandma said you keep a can of mace because I will kick him in the groins and run," said Knight.
Detectives say the man in the sketch may have tried to target a runner at Whiteside Park. The woman was able to scare him off before he could touch her. Police say anytime someone touches you inappropriately and makes you feel uncomfortable you can report it.
