The jury found Amber Hilberling guilty of 2nd degree murder.
Deliberations began around 1:30 on Monday afternoon. The jury recommended a sentence of 25 years in prison with a $10,000 fine.
She's charged with 2nd degree murder for the death of her husband, Josh Hilberling. Prosecutors allege Amber Hilberling pushed Josh Hilberling to his death out of the window of their high rise apartment. The defense argued she pushed him in self defense.
On Monday afternoon the jury sent the judge a note asking if their reconditions for sentencing can be altered and if the judge will consider time served. The judge said he could not answer the question and for them to keep deliberating.
Hilberling will be sentenced on April 23rd. Amber Hilberling rejected a plea deal offered by prosecutors last week, opting to go to trial instead.
