The Owasso man under investigation for asking boys for sexual favors says he's innocent.

Owasso police arrested Jeffery W. Hines, 46, for public intoxication at Funtastic Island in Owasso in the 10300 block of East 116th Street North.

Since then, police have been investigating Hines for soliciting lewd acts from three teen boys.

A man who says he's a father and hard worker.

"I am good man," said Hines. "All I try to do is work and pay for my kids."

However, Hines is now being investigated for making lewd proposals to three teen boys at Funtastic Island.

"I'm innocent," said Hines.

On July 26, Hines says he was sitting under the pavilion at Funtastic Island talking to three boys.

"I didn't do anything wrong we just talked to these kids, we talked about going to the military," said Hines.

Hines says he went to get a snowcone and the father of one of the boys showed up at the park.

"The father said, 'Why did you talk to my kids about sex?' I said, 'I did not' and he said, 'Well I am going to kick your (expletive)."

He says the father called police and they arrived shortly after the confrontation.

"I was overwhelmed. It just blew me away because this did not happen," said Hines.

However, Hines said the boys told the father he asked the boys if he could do lewd things to them.

FOX23 News asked Hines if he said anything that would make the boys feel uncomfortable.

"I did say they had pretty blue eyes. That’s it," said Hines.

Hines was arrested for public intoxication. He says he blew a blood-alcohol level of 0.3, which is nearly four times the legal limit says he remembers the conversation with the boys.

He believes the boys are not telling the truth.

"I am innocent, I did nothing. These kids are lying," said Hines.

Since the boys are underage, their information to contact their guardians for a comment is not available.

Hines is not charged. The case is under review at the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office to determine if charges will be filed.
