Bixby police arrested Donna Jean Rogers, 62, of Jenks, on suspicion of DUI just before 5 on Thursday afternoon.

An arrest document states someone called 911 to report a white SUV driving erratically on Memorial Drive near 151st street. An officer says he tried to pull over the SUV along 151st near Sheridan Road, when Rogers, who was behind the wheel, sped off, overcorrected and hit a guard rail.

Police say Rogers continued to drive after hitting the guard rail, finally stopping the SUV a mile farther up 151st Street, near Yale Avenue.

The police officer discovered four children that appeared to be under the age of twelve in the back seat of the car.  The report states the officer noticed an odor of alcohol and that Rogers' eyes were watery. According to the report, a breath test showed Rogers had a blood alcohol level of .21, more than double the legal limit. Bixby police say Rogers is the children's grandmother.  The children were unharmed and released to family members.

Rogers faces four charges of child endangerment in addition to the DUI complaint.
