A Crime Stoppers tip led police to arrest one man for drug trafficking.

Police got a tip about possible drug activity in the area near north Peoria and Pine and were watching the area. Police say officers saw a hand to hand drug transaction and attempted to stop one of the vehicles involved.

Police say the driver sped away and then jumped out and ran from the vehicle. Officers lost the suspect but tracked him to a house in the area. Police say they saw drugs in plain sight in the home and searched it and found two ounces of powder cocaine and two ounces of crack cocaine. They also found $2,000 in the house.

Police arrested Chazrae Tyson on drug trafficking charges.
