Couple police called, "Bonnie and Clyde" charged

The couple police called a modern day Bonnie and Clyde have been charged.

Police took Harold Watkins and his wife, Patricia Simer, into custody last week. Watkins faces four counts of robbery with a firearm. Simer was charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm.

Police said the couple had been on a crime spree since April. They said the couple robbed Tulsa businesses and held some people at gun point.

Their accomplice, Patrick Wilcoxson, is charged with three counts of robbery with a firearm.

Just because some Public Information Officer wants to use a campy nickname does not mean the media has to.
