Tulsa police and the Department of Human Services are investigating a child abuse allegation in the 7100 block of E. Jasper, where a woman runs a daycare out of her home.
Two boys tell police they were hit with an electrical cord. The boys are the son and nephew of the daycare owner, not children enrolled in the daycare.
Tulsa Public Schools resource officers say three children who live in the house attend Kerr Elementary. One of the children reported abuse to someone at the school last week, then the children were absent from school for three days.
When TPS resource officers went to the home Thursday, they say they found the two boys with whipping marks on their legs, back and buttocks, and they say that the children had not eaten prior to the visit from TPS resource officers.
DHS investigators and TPD have been called in to investigate. No arrests have been made.
