A teen accused of plotting to kill classmates at Bartlesville High School has been found competent to stand trial.
Police arrested Sammie Chavez in December. Police say he planned to lure students into the school auditorium, lock the doors and shoot them and then blow up bombs when police arrived.
A judge ordered a mental evaluation after reading Chavez’ personal diaries that included entries about wanting to hurt people, Chavez will be back in court on Wednesday.
He’s being held in the Washington County Jail on a $1 million dollar bond.
