A Tulsa woman accused of pushing her husband to his death out of a high rise window took the stand on Friday in her own defense.

Amber Hilberling testified shortly after 11am.  She is on trial for the death of her husband Josh Hilberling.

FOX23's Sharon Phillips was in the courtroom for the testimony and says Amber Hilberling testified she told Josh Hilberling she wanted a divorce on the day he died and they began arguing.  She says her husband threw a laundry basket through a bedroom window and they called a maintenance man to fix it.

Amber Hilberling said the fight continued into the living room while the bedroom window was being repaired. She testified she was standing near the TV, which was near the window, she said her husband grabbed her shoulders and she pushed him off of me and "I don't remember what happened after that."

Defense attorney showed photos of Amber Hilberling with scratches on her shoulder.

She also testified, "I remember him going through the glass and I ran over just in time to see him hitting the ground."

Amber Hilberling said she took the elevator down to find her husband and found him on the parking garage and rolled him over and tried to wake him up, she said someone pulled her away but she doesn't know who did that.

Josh Hilberling's family was emotional and crying during the testimony.

On cross examination the prosecutors tried to point out inconsistancies in Amber Hilberling's testimony by having her demonstrate to the jury how she pushed Josh Hilberling.

A recorded conversation between Amber Hilberling and her grandmother, during which she described pushing her husband while he messed with a TV near the window, was also played.

Prosecutors also pointed to evidence they say indicated Josh was standing by the window with his phone waiting on friends to get him because he wanted to get away from his wife.

The state contends Amber Hilberling was enraged because Josh Hilberling wanted a divorce.

Both the defense and prosecution have rested their cases and closing arguments are scheduled to begin on Monday.

She just sort of shrugged that off like it was a spring jacket. So, is she claiming self defense? In a way she expresses a little carelessness with a whole lot of I don't know, like a cherry on top that makes a sundae more palatable. Flip the burger // was he trying to take her out of the window with him (murder/homicide)??? I know that claim has not been imputed previously but with the scratches on her shoulder (any forensic information like her flesh under his fingernails) to substantiate that???

Maybe she could use being cross-eyed as part of her defense
