Willie Wise and Jeremy Foster are charged with two counts of first degree murder for the shooting that killed Scott Norman and Wes Brown. Investigators say the shooting was a gang related and Brown was shot by a stray bullet while shopping with his daughter.
The courthouse was packed as Shania Craven took the stand. Craven testified for two hours, she gave one word answers and was tightlipped.
Craven testified she lent Jeremy Foster her car on July 14th. She also testified that she and Foster went to Promenade Mall near 41st and Yale and bought shoes, left the mall and then went back to return the shoes.
Craven said Willie Wise got in the car with them when they were at the mall and said “They at Best Buy.” Craven said all three of them drove to the nearby Best Buy and Willie got out of the car. Craven testified he eventually came abck and told Jeremy, “Bro, I got him. Don’t let them catch us. I got a strike.”
Craven testified Foster drove them to the Observation Point Apartments and Wise and Foster went into the bathroom where she heard water running and Wise changed clothes.
The state also called Scott Norman’s brother, Jamarco Norman, who testified he and his brother were at Best Buy when Scott was shot.
