Two double murders that were little more than a year apart happened at a south Tulsa QuikTrip.

th 2011, Patrick Shawn and Kalyn Kosofsky were shot and killed at the Quik-Trip near 71
st & Riverside Parkway.
Two men, Zane Atchison and Joel Pina are charged their murders.
Saturday morning, 18-year old Kristjan Thorsson and 37-year old John White were shot in the same store’s parking lot.
Thorsson, who goes by the name of Hinrik, died later on Saturday and White died on Monday.
The shooter hasn’t been caught in this case, but witnesses tell police they heard the shooter who was on foot, shout to White “You almost hit me.”
White was driving and Thorsson was the passenger.
The Jenks senior was getting ready to graduate, Thorsson moved from Iceland when he was 11.
"He was special in many, many, many ways," said Helena Mawby.
Hinrik Thorsson loved his music and his grandmother who he called “amma” in Icelandic, said he wrote poems and music lyrics. At school his stutter embarrassed him but not at home.
"He loved to talk, he loved to talk. There is going to be a big void. His laughter was very smitten,” said Mawby.
Now his smile will only be a memory.
"I have been thinking, 'why, why, why, why did it happen?'" said his grandmother.
Thorsson did not live long enough for his family see him one last time.
"When we called police they asked, ‘did he have a birthmark on his leg?’ which he did and that's how we knew that we were sure it was him,” said Mawby.
Police said Thorsson went to QuikTrip with his mother’s friend, White, around 1 am Saturday.
Police said surveillance video showed White go into QuikTrip. They said there were no signs of a problem. However, when White came back out witnesses said a man confronted him about getting too close.
Detectives said the shots were heard on the surveillance video.
"I think White was trying to leave before it escalated any further. Once the shooting happened, I think Mr. White was hit pretty quick," said Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker.
Their car ended up in the church parking lot across the road.
"He is just gone and I want to be able to say good bye,” said Hinrik’s grandmother.
Funeral arrangements for Thorsson have been scheduled for Friday at 2pm at Rosehill. Thorsson has family members who are flying from Iceland to Tulsa.
The suspect was not seen on QuikTrip surveillance cameras. However, investigators are reviewing neighboring businesses that had surveillance video.
Witnesses describe the shooter as an African American male, 18-24 years old, goatee, 5'07’’-5’10’’, 140-150 pounds, skinny, black plastic framed glasses, red shirt and red ball cap.

Tulsa Police report there has been 134 violent crimes in a one a mile radius of the crime scene. There were 89 aggravated assaults, which police categorize gun crimes under this category, followed by robberies, 32, rapes, 12 and one homicide.
The mayor’s public safety task force expect to present recommendations for improvement in December.
