| Price McKeon joined the FOX23 news team in July 2013. She is excited and eager to tell the community’s stories as a multi-media journalist. Price came to Tulsa from Atlanta, Georgia, where she interned with FOX23’s sister station WSB-TV. She’s trained in newsrooms around the southeast including: WTVT-TV in Florida, WNEG-TV in Georgia and UGA’s Newsource in Georgia. |
Price found her passion for journalism at a young age when she turned on the TV in middle school. Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Price pursued her passion and attended the University of Georgia. She graduated with a Digital and Broadcast Journalism Degree, Spanish Minor and Global Studies certificate. Price spent her free time in college still in the newsroom- directing, technical directing and helping with the behind the scene production of her college’s live news broadcast.
Price has interviewed professional athletes, politicians and other public figures, but her most memorable story was when she interviewed a 10-year-old in Tampa, Florida who donated his birthday money to a wounded veteran. Within ten minutes she interviewed the birthday boy, the oldest veteran and the youngest wounded veteran. The opportunity to speak with a 19-year-old Iraqi War veteran that just learned how to talk again would stay with her forever.
When Price isn’t working she loves spending time with her family, friends and her bishon-poodle Scruffy. She may be out of Georgia but she’s still cheering on her SEC team the UGA Bulldawgs.
One of Price’s favorite sayings from a college professor is “Everyone has a story to tell. Your job is to tell it.” She hopes she can listen and share your story.
If you have a story you want Price to hear or just want to drop Price a note you can email her at PMcKeon@fox23.com.
