| Miranda Christian is a photographer/MMJ. She joined FOX23 in August. |
I am from Centennial, Colorado and I went to college in Sioux City, Iowa.
After I graduated, I worked at a local station before I came to Tulsa. I always knew I wanted to be a reporter; I was the sports editor for my high school newspaper. I have always loved telling a good story.
I am a sports junkie, I love to watch and talk about sports. So far my favorite thing about Tulsa is the winters are not as cold as Iowa and Colorado.
I came to Tulsa in August from Sioux City Iowa where I worked as an editor/photographer for the NBC affiliate, KTIV. I graduated college in Sioux City from Morningside College with a degree in Mass Communications. While in school I was the assistant sports director for the campus radio station. I would announce play-by-play for football, basketball, and baseball games along with producing an hour long radio show once a week. While working at KTIV I would edit the 5, 6, and 9pm newscast along with reporting, shooting sports highlights, and anchoring the morning sports segments.
I am originally from Centennial, Colorado where all my family lives. I went to Iowa Western Community College my freshman year to play volleyball and participated in the National Tournament with a 5th place finish. I then transferred to Morningside to continue playing volleyball and played in two more national tournaments. I am a diehard Broncos fan. I love watching and talking about sports, especially football. In my spare time I like to read, hang out with friends, or visit new places.
I cover stories all across Tulsa, from crime to city events. My passion for story telling drives me to deliver solid news stories.
Since moving to Tulsa I have learned the winters here are a lot nicer than they were in Iowa.
