James Tully is the weekend sports anchor at FOX23. He previously covered mostly consumer stories in the news department. James comes to FOX23 from Winchester, Virginia. During his tenure at ABC3, James began as a general assignment reporter, then stepped in to anchor and produce news on a full time basis, and later served as sports director before departing for Tulsa.

James majored in mass communications at York College of Pennsylvania, earning the H. LaMarr Rice award his senior year for excellence in public speaking. In 2008 James was an AEGIS Award winner at ABC3 for a special feature on Fox Business reporter Brian Sullivan.

He founded and organized the "Rebound from Abuse" charity basketball game to benefit a local shelter for abused women, the event continues to raise thousands of dollars for the cause.

Since moving to Tulsa, he's has adopted a dog from the city's animal welfare center. Dusty is a very healthy shepherd mix, who despite all his behavior problems is the best purchase James has ever made.
