| Farron Salley an award-winning reporter joined the FOX23 News team in September, 2013. She is happy to move closer to home after being in the nation's capital city. Farron pounded the pavement as a reporter in Washington D.C. working for KARK in Little Rock, AR. She had the chance to shake hands with the president and ask tough questions to hold elected leaders accountable back home.|
Before Farron worked on Capitol Hill, she was a general assignment reporter for KTXS in Abilene, TX. That's also where she earned her bachelor's degree at Abilene Christian University. And the schooling didn't stop there. Farron is also a proud alumni of Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications where she earned her master's degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism.
Farron’s work has earned her the Mark of Excellence from the Society of Professional Journalists and other awards. She went after a career in journalism because she loves talking to people. When she's not on the job you can catch her walking one of her best friends, her dog Royce Money. Farron enjoys playing volleyball and performing poetry. Her guilty pleasure is binging on Netflix. Sunday is her favorite day of the week because church and football is always a winning combo. A Fort Worth, Texas native, she'll always cheer on America's team. How 'bout them Cowboys?
Farron's motto in life is a question: Do you smile because you're happy, or are you happy because you smile? She's an optimistic person who looks forward to spreading the joy!
