An award-winning news anchor and veteran reporter, Clay Loney brings a wealth of experience to FOX23 News. Clay anchors FOX23’s highly-rated news hour, FOX23 News at 9:00pm, Monday through Friday, as well as FOX23 News at 5:00pm and 10:00pm. Clay specializes in unscripted live coverage of Breaking News. As Talent Development Director, he trains and provides editorial leadership for a team of reporters.

With some 25 years in television news, Clay has provided political coverage from Washington D.C. for stations nationwide, served as Bureau Chief for CBS Florida, and specialized in military coverage.

A graduate of the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Journalism degree, Clay’s work has earned him a prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for news writing, an Associated Press award for top Individual Achievement, and several Emmy nominations.

Clay beams when he talks about the love of his life, his wife Grettel, and their four children, Ross, Erika, Bryant and Gracie. Clay enjoys playing the piano, hiking and photography.
