What made you pursue a career in broadcast journalism? I was always inquisitive as a little girl—always talking to people, performing, and asking questions. My career path was just natural, something I always knew I wanted to do. As far as morning news, I love that it is constantly evolving to fit a fast paced day. Before the first cup of coffee kicks in, rush hour hits, or school starts, morning news sets the tone of the day for viewers and wakes them up to the world around them. I like being part of the team that gets people started off on the right foot.
What’s your favorite thing about Oklahoma? I’m a Midwest girl, and I love that the people who live here are so warm, kind, and inviting.
What’s your most memorable story? I was honored to get help with a series called “Tribute to Heroes,” where we recognized local, everyday people who performed heroic acts that changed and saved lives.
What’s your guilty pleasure? Coffee! I drink it in mass quantities, which helps out considering the early morning shift that I work. (Although I don’t say no to red bull or pop… pass the caffeine!)
